USAWKF Kungfu Championships & Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships

USAWKFNATIONAL KUNGFU CHAMPIONSHIPSAND NATIONAL KUNGFU RANKING
Registration is now open for the 2026 USAWKF National Kungfu Championships & National Rankings, taking place August 8–9, 2026, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston, Texas. This premier event provides a competitive platform for qualified USAWKF National Team athletes to compete for National Champion titles in their respective divisions and earn their place among the nation’s top-ranked athletes through the USAWKF National Kungfu Rankings.
Participation in the National Championships is limited to athletes who have previously qualified through USAWKF-sanctioned Team Trials and designated qualifying events. As an official National Rankings event, the Championships will bring together many of the country’s most accomplished kungfu and taiji athletes to showcase their skills and compete for national recognition.
The Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships is a premier cultural martial arts event dedicated to promoting wushu, sanda, and all styles of traditional kungfu, including both external and internal systems. The event will take place strong>August 8–9, 2026, at the elegant The Royal Sonesta Galleria Hotel in Houston, TX.
Bringing together athletes, coaches, judges, and martial arts enthusiasts from diverse schools and backgrounds, the championships provide a platform to build friendships through martial arts while honoring tradition and embracing innovation. Our mission is to create a fair, professional, welcoming, and inspiring environment where competitors can challenge themselves, gain confidence, and celebrate the richness and heritage of traditional martial arts together.
The event encourages youth engagement, cultural exchange, sportsmanship, and community connection while showcasing the diversity and spirit of kungfu. To recognize excellence, dedication, and continuous growth, the championships will award three cash prizes and up to 76 Grand Champion titles. Medals will also be presented to top-performing competitors across divisions.
As a supplemental kungfu team trial, this event can qualify athletes to become a part of the USAWKF Kungfu Team. Members of the kungfu team are eligible to participate in the World Kungfu Championships and the Pan American Kungfu Championships.
