2025 USAWKF Junior Team Trials & Sanda Nationals Set for This Winter

The USAWKF Junior Taolu and Sanda Team Trials & Sanda National Championships will take place December 18–21, 2025, in Rockville, Maryland, hosted by Taichi Kung-Fu Academy. The event will be held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center and will coincide with the Winter Presidential Wushu Cup.

This competition will determine Team USA representatives for the 10th World Junior Wushu Championships (WJWC), to be held in Tianjin, China, in March 2026. Top Youth, Junior, and Children athletes in both Taolu and Sanda will earn their place on the national team. Eligible athletes may also have the opportunity to compete at the 4th Summer Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Dakar, Senegal, from October 31 to November 13, 2026—a landmark event marking wushu’s debut as an official medal sport at the YOG, and also the first Olympic sports competition ever held on African soil.

Following the model of the Adult Team Trials held this May, the Junior Team Trials will feature an enhanced selection process focused on fairness and precision. Athletes will be evaluated across a comprehensive range of disciplines to ensure that Team USA is fully prepared to excel on the international stage.

 

2025年美国武术联合会（USAWKF）青少年队选拔赛暨全国套路/散打锦标赛——今冬隆重举行！

2026年的 USAWKF 青少年套路/散打队选拔赛暨全国散打锦标赛 将于 2025年12月18日至21日 在 马里兰州罗克维尔（Rockville, Maryland） 举行，由美国武术联合会授权，太极功夫学院（Taichi Kung-Fu Academy） 主办。

本次赛事将在 贝塞斯达北万豪酒店会议中心（Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center） 举行，并与 冬季总统武术杯（Winter Presidential Wushu Cup） 同期举办。

本次比赛将选拔 Youth（15–17 岁）、Junior（12–14 岁）和 Children（ 9–11 岁）组别的套路与散打运动员入选国家队。

本次比赛将选拔出代表美国出征 第十届世界青少年武术锦标赛（WJWC） 的运动员。该赛事将于 2026年3月 在 中国天津 举行。套路与散打项目的青少年、少年组与儿童组选手中表现最优者，将有机会入选美国国家队。符合资格的运动员还有可能参加 第四届夏季青年奥林匹克运动会（YOG），该赛事将于 2026年10月31日至11月13日 在 塞内加尔达喀尔（Dakar, Senegal） 举办——这将是历史上首次在非洲大陆举行的奥运赛事。
