On March 7, 2026, the United States of America Wushu Kungfu Federation (USAWKF) hosted the 2026 USAWKF Taijiquan Team Trials, conducting the entire selection process through an online competition format. This marked the first time in USAWKF history that the federation selected a national team through an online event.
Registration for the event was open to Taijiquan athletes nationwide from February 14 to February 28, 2026. All submitted videos were uniformly evaluated and comprehensively assessed by the judging panel in accordance with the relevant technical scoring standards of the USAWKF and the International Wushu Federation (IWUF).
USAWKF President Anthony Goh stated:
“I am extremely pleased with the outstanding work of the judging panel in successfully conducting the online team trials—the first initiative of its kind in the history of USAWKF. The panel approached this responsibility with openness, transparency, and professionalism, carefully deliberating on the plan of execution and carrying it out with great dedication, integrity, and accountability.
I would also like to extend my sincere congratulations to the winners of the trials, while at the same time commending all the athletes who participated. Each athlete demonstrated remarkable passion, talent, and commitment, reflecting the high standard and promising future of Taijiquan development in the United States.”
Following an open, fair, and impartial review process, the following athletes have been successfully selected for the 2026 U.S. Taijiquan National Team and will represent the United States at major international events in 2026.
