Registration for 2025 Junior Team Trials and Sanda National Championships | The United States of America Wushu Kungfu Federation

The USAWKF Junior Taolu and Sanda Team Trials & Sanda National Championships will take place December 18–21, 2025, in Rockville, Maryland, hosted by Taichi Kung-Fu Academy. The event will be held at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center and will coincide with the Winter Presidential Wushu Cup.

USAWKF is excited to collaborate with Sport Data again for the online registration of this year’s Junior Team Trials and Adult Sanda competition. Sport Data is a world wide recognized company that works with many international sports to provide registration and scoring systems. It is a new system for Wushu so we have compiled a little walk through to help you work through it.

Individual athletes will be able to register themselves. Families and schools also have the option to register all of their athletes all under the same account.

Before you register, here are some things to consider:

Important Notes:

All participants should plan to be present for all days of competition. If you arrive late or leave early you would risk missing your specific event(s).
USAWKF Membership will be required for Junior Taolu and Junior Sanda team trials. You will need to enter your Membership ID number under your competitor profile in the text field titled “National Athlete ID” You can register for membership on our website at https://www.usawkf.org/membership-application Your membership number will be emailed to you after our staff has processed it.

Set Up an Account/Login with an Existing Account

You’ll first need to set up an account. After that you’ll be able to add your competitors and select their categories of competition. Or if you’ve used the system to register in 2023 or in our recent Adult Team Trials you can login with the same account.

Click on Login in the upper right hand corner.

A window will pop up in the center of the screen where you can choose to create your own account with your own username and password, or use an existing Google, Facebook or Twitter account to create a new Sportdata account.

After your account is created you’ll be looking at your own profile within Sportdata. Now is time to add your competitors.

Add/Edit Your Competitors

If you are registering for yourself then make sure to edit your profile and enter your birth date. This is crucial so the system can correctly display only the competition categories appropriate for your age group.

If you are a parent or a coach who is registering and paying for all of your students, then you’ll need to add additional competitors to your account.

Either way, you’ll need to enter the competitors area by clicking on My Competitors in the sub header.

If you need to update your information, then click on Edit on the right-hand side

The system will require each competitor to have the Email and Member Athlete ID fields filled. If you used the system before you may not have entered these before so you will need to edit your competitor profiles to fill these in.

Click on the “Add New Competitor” button if you need to add additional children or students.

Make sure you enter all information completely, including the Gender, Birthdate, Email address and National Athlete ID. If you are competing in Sanda as an adult, you do not have to be an active USAWKF member. In this case enter “Adult Sanda” into your National Athlete ID field.

Once all of your competitors are entered you can proceed to selecting their competition categories.

Adding your Categories

After you update your competitors, you’ll need to find your way back to the registration for our specific event.

Click on Wushu

Scroll down and click on the Junior Team Trials Registration button on the right

Click on Add Individual Entry

You will need to add competition categories for your athlete(s) one category at a time. For example, if your athlete is competing in Nanquan and Nandao you will need to add 2 individual entries.

If you entered multiple athletes make sure you select the correct athlete on the top field and then choose the category they want to compete in under that.

In the above example a competitor name “My Athlete” (last name’s are displayed first in the system) is registering under Sanda Youth Male 48kg. The system will automatically display categories for the correct gender and age group based on the competitor’s information entered in their profile.

Click Save to continue.

If that is the only entry you are adding then you can proceed to pay by clicking button with the clipboard.

Otherwise, use the same form to add additional entries.

In the above example, “My Athlete” is also being added to Taolu Youth Male 3rd Set Changquan.

Paying the Registration Fees

Now that every competitor has all of their competition categories entered, it is time to complete the registration by paying through PayPal. Don’t worry if you don’t have a PayPal account. Accounts are not required to complete payments.

Before you pay, check one more time at the complete list of entries so you know you have completed everything. Use the “My Individual Entries” button to view the list.

After you confirmed that you are ready to pay then click on “My Current Entries”

Scroll down and you’ll see a PayPal link.

Click on it even if you don’t have a PayPal account.

From here you can choose to login to an existing account or use the Pay with Debit or Credit Card button to continue without a PayPal account.

When you pay you’ll see the account is to be to Capital Tai Chi Wellness Foundation. This is correct because they are the organizers of the competition.

After payment is complete the system will add your entries into the official list and your registration is complete.

You will also receive a payment confirmation email from PayPal and an entry confirmation email from Sportdata.
