SUMMARY:2025 Phoenix Wushu Nationals
DESCRIPTION:Phoenix Wushu Nationals is one of the largest Chinese martial arts tournaments in the US! Located at the Rawhide Event Center\, our competition venue will be over 48\,000+ sqft. This year\, the Phoenix Food Fair will also be hosted on the fairgrounds right outside our venue\, providing 180\,000+ sqft of the best food vendors\, food trucks\, and marketplace vendors in all of Arizona right to the doorsteps of our athletes\, family\, and friends. Sanctioned by the USAWKF for the Kung Fu Team Trials\, this will be an amazing experience for martial artists of all levels to gather and enjoy a friendly and fair competition at a top venue with high-level judging.  \nThe Phoenix Wushu Nationals will be another venue for kungfu athletes to earn a spot on the kungfu team. This means you would be eligible to represent the US and compete in the upcoming 10th World Kungfu Championships (Emeishan\, China in June) and the 5th Pan American Kungfu Championships (Cancun\, Mexico). Exact dates have yet to be announced.

SUMMARY:2024 USA Shaolin Open
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 USA Shaolin Open & Traditional Team Trials is hosted by the Houston branch of the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center. The event will feature Traditional Songshan Shaolin Temple Forms\, Traditional Northern & Southern Kung Fu\, Internal Kung Fu\, Tai Chi\, and Modern Wushu. \nIt has been sanctioned by the USAWKF as a Traditional Kung Fu Team Trials for the World Kungfu Championships which will be held in Emeishan China (date not confirmed yet) and the 5th Pan American Kungfu Championships (date and location not confirmed yet). Those who qualify will be eligible to represent the United States of America as part of a delegation to these two renown international competitions.  \nThis tournament has also received approval from the Shaolin Temple and it’s North American Shaolin Association as a qualifier for next year’s North American Shaolin Continental Team Trials. Those who qualify will be able to attend the North American team trials next year which will give them a shot at the 25-person delegation team to represent the North American Region at the Shaolin World Games in Zhengzhou China.

For the novice who has never competed before\, our First Timer Division is deliberately designed for our competitors to build confidence and to experience the excitement of competition.  They then are able to venture into harder rules and higher skill levels of competitors in the Challenge Division. The next goal is for our competitors to grow into the Elite Division.  \nThe Elite Division is adopting the current International Wushu Federation’s competition rules and regulations.  Our final goal is to produce more high skill level competitors to try out for the US National Teams in Wushu and Kungfu. \nUS Challenge is also one of several USAWKF’s sanctioned US Kungfu Team trial competitions.  We are now accepting competitors in traditional Kungfu\, Tai Chi and Wushu to try out for the US Kungfu Team to compete in Emei Mountain in China in 2025.  \nBeing on time is one of the unique qualities of US Challenge\, each event is planned and executed on time. SUMMARY:2023 Golden State International Wushu Championships
DESCRIPTION:2023 Golden State International Wushu Championships & U.S. National Kung Fu\nTeam Trials\, the largest international Wushu Championships in the US. This event is\nhosted by the World Taiji Science Federation (WTSF)\, sponsored by KungFuDirect.com\,\nand sanctioned by the United States of America Wushu-Kungfu Federation\, Inc.\n(USAWKF)\, and will take place at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley\nfrom September 2nd to 3rd. \nThe Golden State International Wushu Championship is an ideal arena for martial\narts elites and high-level athletes\, and a great opportunity for beginners to learn\, improve\,\nand cultivate confidence and courage. The competition’s organizing committee has\nspecially set up traditional routines\, including Shaolin\, Wudang\, and various northern and\nsouthern styles. Additionally\, there are optional and standard compulsory Wushu routines\,\nTai Chi Qigong\, group\, and duilian events\, etc. With nearly 150 individual competition\nevents and around 30 age groups for men and women\, there are plenty of award\nopportunities for athletes of all ages\, genres\, and skill levels. The competition also\nfeatures “first-time participant encouragement medals.” Furthermore\, the 2023\ncompetition format includes both in-person and online competition\, giving athletes from\nall over the world the chance to participate in this large-scale international martial arts\ncompetition through the internet. The event is deeply loved and respected by coaches\,\nathletes\, referees\, and parents. SUMMARY:9th World Kungfu Championships
DESCRIPTION:From the IWUF Website: \nThe World Kungfu Championships (WKFC) is the official world-level sport-for-all event that is hosted by the International Wushu Federation. First held in 2004\, the WKFC takes place biennially and features thousands of competitors in all age groups competing in a wide variety of events. This event provides an excellent platform for practitioners of all ages and varying skill levels within all traditional kungfu styles to foster understanding through skill and cultural exchanges. With a spirit of interaction\, the event aims to build friendships and interest in the practice of kungfu (traditional wushu). \nThe last WKFC\, which was held in Emeishan in 2019\, had the biggest US team to date with over 200 athletes and 500 delegation members. We would love to continue the trend and send a US team that is just as big this year!  Kungfu Team members who got on the team in 2022 and 2023 are eligible to participate in the 9th WKFC. \nRegulations and Registration available here.

SUMMARY:2023 US Challenge - Supplemental Kungfu Team Trial
DESCRIPTION:The US Challenge is a competition designed for competitors to grow with their skills.  For the novice who has never competed before\, our First Timer Division is deliberately designed for our competitors to build confidence and to experience the excitement of competition.  They then are able to venture into harder rules and higher skill levels of competitors in the Challenge Division. The next goal is for our competitors to grow into the Elite Division.  \nThe Elite Division is adopting the current International Wushu Federation’s competition rules and regulations.  Our final goal is to produce more high skill level competitors to try out for the US Wushu Team. \nUS Challenge is also one of several USAWKF’s sanctioned US Kungfu Team trial competitions.  We are now accepting competitors in traditional Kungfu\, Tai Chi and Wushu to try out for the US Kungfu Team to compete in Emei Mountain in China in 2025.  \n \nBeing on time is one of the unique qualities of US Challenge\, each event is planned and executed on time.
